Galaxy & Water Flow Paint Series

Local Burien artist Emily Steele Greenberg sharing her Water & Galaxy Flow Paint canvas artwork. Acrylic on canvas. Variety of sizes.

"As I evolve, my art evolves. In 2016 I started creating "Flow Paint" art, and a way of painting that allows the artist to "let go" and relax into the process of creating. With my art I hope to invoke a feeling of groundedness and appreciation for nature, as well as remind us of the galaxies we are made of."

Artistic Journey

As a local artist, I embrace the therapeutic nature of painting, channeling my emotions into each piece.

Creating art with passion.

A little about me:

Much of my inspiration comes from my childhood. I grew up in the great Northwest skiing and snowboarding in the winter and playing sports and going to outdoors camps in the summer. I moved from Spokane, Washington to Bellingham in 2006, then to Burien in 2019, and have been enjoying the great surroundings and great people, who love living sustainably, supporting local business, and just overall having a good time! I love to be around lots of people as much as I love to spend the day alone painting, or curled up with a cup of coffee and a good book.

When I paint or draw, or whatever it is I may be creating, I love it when I get into a kind of "flow", where it is effortless and easy to put my direct emotion into the physical painting. I find painting therapeutic and enjoy being able to share it with others. Bob Ross got me started with his "happy trees" and encouragement that anyone can paint, you just have to try. Other local Whatcom County artists have continued to inspire me to believe in myself and remind me to keep taking chances!

I would describe my work as simple at first glance, yet full of depth. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Enjoy my website! Maybe it will even inspire you to take a few chances of your own!

Several paintings are laid out on the ground, displaying various scenes with vibrant colors. These include depictions of buildings, landscapes, a boat on water, and a person in traditional attire. The artworks are arranged on a pavement, held down by stones at the corners.
